STORY LINE

Venom is a 2018 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The movie follows journalist Eddie Brock, who becomes the host of an alien symbiote that gives him superhuman abilities.

As Eddie learns to control his new powers, he must also confront the sinister businessman Carlton Drake, who is experimenting on other symbiotes.

Eddie teams up with his symbiote, whom he names Venom, to stop Drake's plans and protect humanity from the symbiotes' destructive potential. Along the way, Eddie also grapples with his own inner demons and the consequences of his actions.

The movie features Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, a journalist who becomes the host of an alien symbiote, and follows his journey to control his newfound superhuman abilities.

Plot

The movie begins with a spaceship carrying alien symbiotes crashing in Malaysia, and the Life Foundation corporation recovering the symbiotes and bringing them back to their laboratory in San Francisco.

Among the scientists working at the lab is Dr. Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), who believes that the symbiotes can be used to cure diseases and advance human evolution.

However, the symbiotes require a compatible host to survive, and those who are incompatible suffer from severe side effects, often leading to their deaths.

Meanwhile, Eddie Brock is a journalist investigating the Life Foundation, hoping to uncover evidence of their illegal activities.

He discovers that Drake's experiments on humans have resulted in multiple deaths and attempts to confront him during an interview.

However, Brock's questions anger Drake, who has him fired and ruins his career. As a result, Brock loses his job, his fiancée Anne Weying (Michelle Williams), and his reputation.

Six months later, Brock is still struggling to move on from his past and trying to find a way to redeem himself.

He is approached by Dora Skirth (Jenny Slate), a scientist who used to work for the Life Foundation and wants to expose their unethical practices.

She leads Brock to the lab where he encounters one of the symbiotes, which bonds with him, and he gains incredible strength and agility, as well as a voice in his head.

The symbiote, which Brock later names Venom, informs him that the Life Foundation plans to use its symbiotes to take over the world and that they need to be stopped.

Initially, Brock tries to rid himself of Venom, but as he learns to control his powers, he decides to work with the symbiote to take down the Life Foundation and prevent them from unleashing the symbiotes on the world.

As they try to stop Drake's plans, Brock and Venom face several obstacles, including Drake's henchmen and an advanced symbiote named Riot, who is searching for a way to bring even more symbiotes to Earth.

Brock also struggles to reconcile his own moral compass with Venom's ruthless and violent tendencies, and the two must learn to work together to achieve their goals.

Ultimately, Brock and Venom succeed in defeating Riot and the Life Foundation, but not before Venom reveals his true motives for coming to Earth: to escape from his own species, who view him as a traitor for refusing to conquer new worlds.

Brock and Venom come to a mutual understanding and decide to coexist, with Venom promising to protect Brock as long as he does not interfere with Venom's desire to feed on humans.
